Influence of pre-sowing red laser irradiation of tomato seeds on the initial plant development, salinity stress tolerance, and harvest yield

This work discusses the laser irradiation effects on tomato seeds (Solanum lycopersicum L), regarding initial plant development, salinity stress tolerance and harvest yield. The aim of this study was to find an optimal pre-sowing treatment enhance crop.A diode with wavelength 660 nm power 100 mW used, 16 treatments were tested by 4 densities (0.2, 0.4, 2 cm-2) applied during exposure times (15, 30, 60, 120 s) a control group without treatment. divided into three stages,firstly it selected (04 cm-2, 30 s), in second stage evaluated under stress, finally third treatment, development enhanced germination 10%, radicle growth 19%, hypocotyl 13%, comparison control. On seedlings promote up 20%, 23%, 12%.According study, saline inhibits PSII activity seedlings,whereas increased around 71%. About greenhouse crop, improved mass produced 26%. present shows path for application ofpre-sowing red radiation improve final production crop.
